Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to provide senior-level cybersecurity and information assurance support for classified IC and DoD missions.

You will maintain and strengthen system security posture through security operations, risk and vulnerability assessments, configuration management, security documentation, and system authorization activities. In this role, you will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure systems remain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of hands-on ISSO/information security experience supporting IC or DoD environments required.
• Must meet DoD IAM Level II or higher certification such as CASP+ or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security posture of classified IC/DoD information systems
• Develop, maintain, and manage a high volume of System Security Plans (SSPs)
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and support mitigation activities
• Support RMF and system authorization processes
• Manage security configurations and assess the security impact of system changes
• Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, frameworks, standards, and procedures
• Utilize customer security tools and processes to support system security and compliance
• Work with technical teams to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen system security
• Support security activities involving servers, IA technologies, networking protocols, and network services
