Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to protect DoD information systems. The ISSO will support RMF implementation, create security policies, perform vulnerability remediation, and coordinate with distributed teams to maintain secure operations.

Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI clearance, a BS in a related field, 10 years of DoD-focused experience, and certifications such as CISSP or Security+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 10 years of system administration or cybersecurity experience in a DoD environment
• DoD 8570 certifications: Security+, CISSP, Computing Environment

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard information systems
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
• Monitor security alerts and logs to respond to incidents and ensure DoD compliance
• Manage Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for secure access
• Filter and generate reports from SIEM tools to identify trends
• Support RMF processes including categorization, control selection, assessment, authorization, and monitoring
• Develop security training programs and act as security advisor to other departments
• Maintain documentation of security processes, incidents, and remediation efforts
• Work with DoD networks and environments (DREN/SDREN) as required
