Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a large software program in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will oversee security policies, assessments, and risk management, guiding ISS operations across multiple environments.

You will work with security professionals to implement strategies, perform IAVA management, and maintain SSPs and certification documentation to ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• At least 10 years as ISSO independently or on teams maintaining secure ops.
• At least 5 years using tools to support IAVA management.
• At least 5 years using tools to support SSPs and related docs.
• Extensive experience evaluating security tools and implementing security policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist in evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing multiple types of information.
• Assist with Configuration Management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and implement best-practice incident detection and remediation.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network devices.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation and system security plans.
