Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions in Fort Meade, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer to lead security for a large software development program. The role includes security policy enforcement, risk mitigation, and IA posture management across multiple domains.

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph. Army/DoD-style environments and enterprise security operations are part of the daily work.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of experience as ISSO working independently and on teams.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using tools for IAVA management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SSPs and security documentation.
• Experience with security tools, hardware/software security, and encryption techniques.
• Experience completing security evaluations of software systems or architectures.
• Experience coordinating enforcing information systems security policies and standards.
• Experience in day-to-day security operations of large information systems.
• Self-initiative, team player, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support implementing and enforcing information systems security policies and standards.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing information.
• Provide CM for security-related software, hardware, and firmware.
• Analyze threats and develop best practice methodologies for incident detection and remediation.
• Maintain records on network devices and system upgrades.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems.
• Support ISSM in maintaining correct IA posture for systems/enclaves.
• Develop and maintain Certification & Accreditation documentation.
• Develop and update system security plans and IA docs.
• Support IAVA management and security scans and patches.
