Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead cybersecurity initiatives across programs requiring Top Secret/SCI with CI Polyograph clearance. The role is based in Annapolis Junction, MD with a hybrid on-site/remote work arrangement.

You will conduct security assessments, maintain RMF/ATO artifacts, implement NIST 800-53 controls in cloud-native environments, and collaborate with ISSMs, system owners, and engineers to ensure secure system design and

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Experience with ICD 503 security requirements
• Experience writing SSPs, POA&Ms, and security artifacts

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical security assessments and contribute to security systems.
• Ensure system security compliance, manage risk, and support certification activities (ATO/IATT).
• Collaborate with application leads, sysadmins, dbas, developers and testers to maintain security compliance and ATO.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and other required security documentation using XACTA.
• Drive IATT and ATO efforts with stakeholders, cyber, and AO.
• Implement and validate NIST 800-53 controls in cloud-native DPaaS environments.
• Apply Zero Trust principles to data services, identity, segmentation and flow control.
