Job summary

Sentar is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 2 to join the Fort Meade team. The role focuses on supporting information assurance programs, enforcing security policies, and maintaining the security posture of information systems in a DoD/IC context.

Qualifications include a TS/SCI with active poly, a bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent experience, and 8+ years in IT/cybersecurity with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or related field.
• Eight years of combined IT/cybersecurity experience required.
• Active TS/SCI with poly clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program.
• Support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support security authorization.
• Prepare and review documentation including SSPs, Risk Assessments, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Support RMF-based security authorization activities.
