Job summary

Peraton in Maryland is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for an IC mission based in Annapolis Junction. The role focuses on information assurance, security policies, and risk management to protect sensitive systems across the program.

Responsibilities include supporting the IA program, enforcing security standards, conducting risk analysis, and configuring information security software and hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline is required.
• Minimum of fourteen (14) years experience as an ISSO/ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• 2 years experience hardened operating Systems (OS) loads.
• 2 years experience PL3, PL4, and PL5 solutions.
• 2 years experience analyzing proprietary data formats.
• 2 years experience DCID 6/3 documentation process.
• CISSP Certification or willingness to obtain is required prior to start.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for an information assurance program and enforcing security policies and methodologies.
• Perform or review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Provide security planning, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Provide configuration management for information systems security software and hardware, and assess changes.
