Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Senior ISSO to safeguard government information systems onsite in Washington, DC. You will design, implement, and manage security controls, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability in line with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP where applicable.

The role requires US citizenship with a public trust, a 10-year track record in information security, and certifications such as CISSP/CISM/CISA.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GIAC.
• Proven experience in information security engineering, preferably in a Federal Government Agency or regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (NIST, FISMA, etc.).
• Knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, and authentication.
• Excellent problem-solving and high-pressure decision-making abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the development of policies, standards, instructions, procedures, strategies, and communications relative to the customer's mission.
• Security Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and deploy comprehensive security measures for information systems, networks, and applications.
• Assessment Support: Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and gaps.
• Incident Response and Reporting: Participate in incident response activities and develop response playbooks.
• Continuous Monitoring: Use security tools to monitor traffic, detect anomalies, and investigate incidents.
• POA&M Management: Create, manage, and report on POA&Ms for customer information systems.
