Job summary

Applied Intuition’s ISSO role is responsible for maintaining accredited classified systems at Irvine and Poway, authoring RMF artifacts, and coordinating with government agencies to sustain authorization packages.

You will lead vulnerability management, design secure enclaves, and ensure compliance with NIST and DISA STIGs across both sites. Active clearance and prior RMF experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of ISSO/ISSE experience in a classified environment.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level I/IAT Level 2 (Security+) as a condition of employment.
• Hands-on experience with RMF writing and authorization packages (ICD-503, JSIG, NIST SP 800-53/800-37/800-171).
• Proficiency with NESSUS and ACAS, DISA STIGs, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker, and HBSS/ESS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accredited classified systems in an authorized state and deliver RMF artifacts (SSP, SAR, POA&Ms, RMF artifacts).
• Execute continuous monitoring: vulnerability scanning, STIG checks, log reviews, remediation tracking.
• Design, deploy, and harden enclaves; manage provisioning and privileged access.
• Deliver security awareness training and coordinate with DoD/CISA reviews and government assessors.
