Job summary

Momentum Engineering in Annapolis Junction, MD, seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support DoD/IC programs. You will provide cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, vulnerability management, risk assessment, and security compliance for complex enterprise and cloud-based information systems.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph, 14+ years ISSE experience, DoD RMF/NIST/CNSS expertise, and CISSP certification.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph required
• 14+ years as ISSE in similar scope/ environment
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or 4 extra years of ISSE experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570.01-M IASAE II certification required
• CISSP certification required
• Experience with Tenable Security Center/Nessus and enterprise vulnerability tools
• Strong RMF, NIST, CNSS, and DoD cybersecurity knowledge
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform ISSE activities supporting secure design, accreditation, and sustainment of information systems
• Conduct vulnerability management using enterprise tools like Tenable/Nessus
• Evaluate security controls and recommend mitigations to reduce risk
• Support RMF-based security planning, risk assessments, and control implementation
• Design secure enterprise architectures across multiple security domains
• Collaborate with engineers and program management to integrate security across SDLC
• Assist with security testing, validation, monitoring, and compliance reporting
• Maintain security documentation and accreditation artifacts
