Job summary

Momentum Engineering seeks a seasoned ISSE to validate security requirements and designs for large-scale, distributed systems. You will lead risk assessment, certification, and security planning while collaborating with engineers, PMs, and customers to ensure robust protection of critical national security initiatives.

The role requires active TS/SCI with NSA FSP, 12+ years on large programs, andHands-on experience with Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with NSA FSP is required.
• Minimum 12 years of ISSE experience on large programs.
• Hands-on vulnerability testing experience with customer tools.

Responsibilities

• Validate and design security for large-scale systems and distributed components.
• Identify and implement information security architectures across enterprise solutions.
• Develop technical solutions and standards based on security architecture.
• Assess and mitigate security threats and risks through the life cycle.
• Lead security planning, risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities.
• Collaborate with internal technical experts daily.
• Communicate security issues with Program Managers and customers as needed.
• Participate in program increment planning and agile activities.
• Work with System/Tests/Integration teams to ensure security compliance.
• Analyze implementation against security policies and recommend enhancements.
• Evaluate security solutions against customer requirements.
• Assess impact of new development on security posture.
• Review and test critical software.
• Propose and enforce information security policies and methodologies.
• Audit system security configurations using standard tools.
• Enforce security strategies across distributed components.
• Provide security configuration management for software.
• Serve as subject matter expert on security architecture for teams.
• Define security requirements for new features.
• Identify and remediate security issues across the system.
• Support risk management, continuous monitoring, and IA functions.
• Advise development teams on vulnerabilities and remediation approaches.
• Plan and conduct security verification testing for Type 1 devices.
