Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a large-scale national security program.

The candidate should bring extensive experience in security engineering, architecture, vulnerability assessment, and RMF implementation to maintain a strong security posture across distributed systems. The role requires collaboration with engineering, development, and program management teams to embed security throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with NSA FSP clearance is required.
• 12+ years of experience as an ISSE on a large technical program.
• Strong security practices and hands-on vulnerability testing experience.
• Experience applying RMF to system development and operations.
• Familiar with security tools such as Nessus, NMAP and Wireshark.
• Experience with secure configurations of common desktops and servers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple systems and teams in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Validating and verifying system security requirements and designs for large-scale systems and interfacing systems within a distributed network.
• Identifying and implementing information security architectures and functionality to ensure uniform policy application.
• Recommending and developing technical solutions, products, and standards based on current security architecture.
• Assessing and mitigating security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
• Leading/supporting security planning, risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities.
• Collaborating with internal technical experts on a day-to-day basis.
• Communicating with Program Managers and customer contacts about significant security issues.
• Participating in Program Increment Planning and agile activities.
• Working with System Engineering, Test Engineering, and Integration to ensure security requirements are met.
• Analyzing implementations against compliance policies and recommending enhancements.
