Job summary

Open Systems Technologies Corporation seeks an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a fast-paced, nationally significant program. The ISSE will work on adding capabilities to a complex system with stringent security requirements and collaborate with security engineers across development, test, integration, and operations.

The successful candidate will validate security requirements, propose architectures, and lead risk assessments while staying aligned with customer security

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of security practices and hands-on vulnerability testing with customer tools.
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework and IT security policy.
• Familiarity with common security tooling and encryption techniques.
• Ability to configure secure desktop/server environments and communicate options clearly.

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify system security requirements and design for large-scale systems.
• Identify security architectures and ensure enterprise policy is applied.
• Assess threats and risks across program life cycle and mitigate them.
• Lead security planning, risk analysis, assessment, and awareness activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet security requirements in hardware/software.
• Communicate security issues with program managers and customers as needed.
• Support agile teams through security verification testing and audits.
