Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking an experienced ISSE/Systems Security Engineer to support RDTE program work. This role involves developing IA documentation, coordinating vulnerability assessments, and working with IASE, system admins, engineers, and developers to ensure secure systems.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or BA, DoD 8570 IA Management Level II, and knowledge of DoD IA requirements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or BA degree.
• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level II certification.
• Knowledge of DoD security and IA requirements (DoDI 8500.2; DISA STIG).
• UNIX and Windows system administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop IA documentation (PIT designation requests, PIT Risk Assessment, DIACAP plans).
• Create POA&Ms and SOPs.
• Coordinate host and network vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Interact with IASE, system admins, engineers, and developers.
• Assist with security assessment tools and testing.
