Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Systems Security Engineer in Dahlgren, VA to develop and maintain RMF A&A packages for our clients. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, conducting security assessments, and delivering clear reports on findings and risk mitigation.

Candidates should have 3+ years of RMF A&A experience and strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53/800-37; eMASS familiarity is a plus and Top Secret clearance is required at this location.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of RMF A&A development and risk management processes.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience with security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Familiarity with DoD/Navy IA portfolios is a plus.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RMF A&A packages for our clients.
• Work with stakeholders to gather information and ensure RMF A&A packages meet needs.
• Conduct security assessments of information systems to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Write clear reports detailing assessment findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other developers to integrate RMF A&A with other systems.
• Keep up-to-date with trends in RMF A&A package development.
• Demonstrate 3+ years of RMF A&A experience.
