Job summary

Bowhead is seeking an experienced ISSE/Systems Security Engineer to support a government program and IASE activities. The role involves building IA documentation, coordinating DIACAP/IA processes, and collaborating with system administrators and developers on security controls.

Requires 5+ years of relevant experience, DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification, UNIX/Windows administration, and DoD/IA knowledge. Security clearance at Secret level and US citizenship required for the location in

Qualifications

Five or more years of relevant experience.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree highly desired.
Knowledge of DoD security and IA requirements per DoDI 8500.2 and DISA STIG.
DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification.
Ability to communicate with all levels; strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with Nessus vulnerability scanner.
Experience implementing and testing security controls.

Responsibilities

Develop IA related documentation, including PIT designation requests and DIACAP plans.
Create Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and SOPs.
Coordinate host and network vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies.
Support IASE, system admins, engineers, and developers.
