Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking a senior information systems security engineer to lead RMF activities across DoD/IC environments. The role focuses on threat modeling, security design, continuous monitoring, and incident response within defense programs.

The candidate will review configurations for STIG compliance, collaborate with stakeholders, and help shape organizational cyber resilience capabilities in a mission-focused setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of information systems security engineering experience.
• Deep RMF expertise in DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
• Hands-on experience securing local/enterprise systems with STIGs.
• Ability to analyze complex cybersecurity requirements and engineer solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently or with teams.
• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate system architectures and configuration plans to detect vulnerabilities and recommend hardening techniques.
• Guide stakeholders through security engineering tasks, boundary protection designs, and compliance documentation.
• Formulate organizational cybersecurity programs including continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Review technical setups to verify DISA STIGs compliance and defense security benchmarks.
