Job summary

Amentum is hiring a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) at Fort Meade, MD. You will lead security architecture design, risk assessment, and RMF authorization activities for classified systems and cross-domain environments.

The role requires strong technical leadership, documentation, and collaboration with IC/DoD partners to sustain secure, scalable IT capabilities. 8-hour days, on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting classified networks, cross-domain solutions, or multi-enclave environments.
• Experience with cross-domain solutions, classified cloud environments, or zero trust implementation.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring tooling (ACAS/Nessus, Splunk, eMASS).
• Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-37/53/53A, CNSSI 1253.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and assessment of security architectures for classified enclaves and cross-domain solutions.
• Integrate security controls into the SDLC and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Prepare and maintain authorization packages and risk assessments.
• Brief leadership on residual risk and mitigations.
• Mentor junior ISSEs and security analysts.
