Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support our customer onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on designing and maintaining enterprise security aligned with RMF, STIGs, and CIS benchmarks while supporting the SDLC and accreditation activities.

You will lead vulnerability management, incident response, and automation efforts, working with ISSOs and admins to ensure compliant, secure systems across Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualization, and container

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• IAT Level III certification (SecurityX, CASP, GCIH, CISA, CISSP).
• Strong background in networking, cloud security, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with Nessus, CyberArk, Trellix, Splunk, VMware, and Linux servers.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with RMF, DoD STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and organizational policies.
• Perform security engineering across SDLC, including requirements analysis, design reviews, testing, and accreditation support.
• Implement vulnerability management using Nessus, ACAS, and Qualys.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements into Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualization, and container environments.
• Support incident response and forensics with SIEM, logs, and telemetry analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline remediation and monitoring tasks.
