Job summary

VSO Inc. in Lorton, VA seeks an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) Level 4 to join a team delivering secure enclaves and enterprise services across the DoD.

You will perform security assessments, guide mitigations, and support RMF activities amid a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. You will work with Splunk, Nessus/ACAS, Trellix ePO, and STIG/SCAP tools, shaping cybersecurity posture for identity, endpoints, and vulnerability management in classified DoD settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of leadership experience, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of demonstrated performance in related technology.
• 5+ years of experience in an SCI/SAP environment.
• Security+ Certification and active TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to relocate to Lorton, VA and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain distributed Splunk Enterprise environments with RBAC, dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Administer Nessus Scanner/Manager and Security Center; create scans and reports; maintain plugins.
• Manage Trellix ePO endpoint security with custom policies and deployments.
• Design security requirements for hybrid cloud environments meeting RMF requirements.
• Engineer solutions to support Cyber Threat and Cyber Defense Operations.
• Automate threat assessment and reporting; provide audit support.
