Job summary

NorthHill Technology Resources LLC is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) Level 3 to join our client’s team in Lorton, VA on a full-time on-site basis. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and will focus on security assessments, secure engineering, and defense operations.

You will implement and automate DoD cybersecurity controls, configure tools like ACAS, ePO, Splunk, and Entra ID in cloud environments, and advise leadership on risk and mitigation.

Qualifications

• Active IAT/IAM/IASAE Level III certs such as CASP+/CISSP/CISM.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering/Cyber security or related with 5–8 years of experience, or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and sustaining security tools in a cloud environment.
• Experience configuring and provisioning cloud security tools and services.
• Experience configuring Microsoft Entra ID.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and gaps.
• Engineer cybersecurity solutions to support Cyber Threat and Defensive Operations.
• Configure and sustain tools like ACAS, ePO, Splunk, STIG/SCAP in cloud environments.
• Configure Entra ID and Azure security services related to ATO.
• Automate security monitoring, threat assessments, and reporting.
• Analyze security posture trends and report findings to ISSM/ISSO.
• Recommend cybersecurity measures based on threats and tests.
• Implement security controls per DoD policies and CIA principles.
• Plan modifications based on exercise results and testing outcomes.
