Job summary

Vista Global Solutions seeks a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support migration and enterprise Defender deployment across Windows, macOS, and Linux at USUHS. You will ensure Defender configurations, endpoint security controls, and transition activities align with DoD requirements and DISA STIGs.

Required: DoD Secret clearance, RMF knowledge, and STIG experience, with 5+ years in Federal security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity engineering, information assurance, or security compliance experience in Federal or DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform STIG assessments, security hardening, and compliance validation for Defender configurations and endpoints.
• Conduct SCAP scans and manual reviews to validate DISA STIG compliance.
• Develop and maintain STIG compliance checklists and security documentation for enterprise deployment.
• Identify findings, recommend remediation, and coordinate actions to reach compliance thresholds.
• Validate endpoint safeguards before removal of legacy Trellix components (BitLocker/FileVault).
• Verify audit and telemetry integration with Splunk SIEM and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Review security exceptions, variances, and enclave requirements; assess cybersecurity risks.
• Support RMF lifecycle, including A&A artifacts and ATO documentation in eMASS.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and patch compliance using ACAS.
• Develop and track POA&Ms through remediation and closure.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure security requirements are included in Defender transition.
• Provide cybersecurity engineering guidance to leadership and Government stakeholders.
