Job summary

CACI is seeking a Sr. Inside Plant/Outside Plant Design Engineer to support Army communications programs across ISP/OSP environments. The role emphasizes design, review, and modernization of fiber, copper, RF, and power integration while guiding field teams and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

You will lead multi-project designs, provide senior technical guidance, and help deliver secure, high‑performance communication solutions for CONUS/OCONUS locations. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to maintain access.
• Technical BA/BS degree or equivalent engineering experience.
• 12+ years leading wired engineering for large networks.
• 3+ years supporting DoD modernization projects.
• Proficient with MS Office, Visio, AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS ~75%

Responsibilities

• Oversee ISP/OSP survey, design, and implementation of fiber and copper paths.
• Review and approve SDPs and Final RIP documents.
• Lead field teams through survey, installation, QA activities.
• Ensure compliance with Army requirements and NEC standards.
• Document configurations and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
