Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Inside Plant (ISP) Fiber Optic Engineer to plan and deliver critical fiber infrastructure in high-tech facilities. The role covers pathway design, cabling, workspace coordination and seamless OSP/ISP transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 4 years in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience designing, coordinating, or supporting ISP telecoms, fiber optic infrastructure.
• Knowledge of fiber cabling, pathways, termination and distribution systems.
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings, diagrams, schedules and specs.
• Experience coordinating telecom infrastructure with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, coordinate and deliver inside plant fiber pathways and passive connectivity.
• Develop pathways, cabling, and rack/cabinet layouts for ISP environments.
• Coordinate OSP-to-ISP transitions and ensure constructability and resiliency.
• Review documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.
