Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston is seeking a Senior Settlement Analyst to own the end-to-end ISO settlement cycle for our generation assets, from initial statements to invoicing and accruals.

You will reconcile charge codes, meter data, and contracts, resolve discrepancies with counterparties and the ISO, and support month-end close and audits.

This role emphasizes process improvement and automation to scale as Fervo grows toward public-company readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with accounting concentration.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in energy settlements, including ISO settlements.
• Ability to read contract language and translate into calculations.
• Knowledge of ISO market design, tariff structure, and settlement timelines.
• Strong revenue accounting foundation including accruals and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel, large datasets, pivot analysis; SQL proficiency.
• CPA license or candidate status is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly ISO settlement cycle for generating assets; reconcile data and invoices.
• Calculate settlements under long-term power purchase agreements and related contracts.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices; track receivables and payables through cash.
• Identify and pursue settlement disputes with ISO and counterparties within timelines.
• Deliver settlement-based revenue accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Maintain SOX-compliant settlement controls and support external audits.
• Build queries, models, and dashboards to automate settlement analytics.
• Provide settlement insights to Commercial, Operations, and Finance.
• Document procedures and mentor junior analysts.
