Job summary

Chelsea Search Group in Washington, DC seeks a Senior IP Litigation Paralegal to support all phases of patent litigation, including ITC and Federal Circuit matters, in a hybrid work setting. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years IP litigation experience; proficiency with litigation support software, e-discovery, CM/ECF, and excellent communication.

You will manage discovery, draft filings, mentor juniors, and coordinate trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years IP litigation experience including ITC 337 matters.
• Proficient with litigation support software and review platforms.
• Experience with USPTO inter partes review and re-examination.
• Proficient in CM/ECF electronic filings.
• Willingness to work overtime, occasionally on short notice.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for patent litigation in federal district courts, appeals before the Federal Circuit, ITC and PTAB.
• Manage paper and electronic discovery, including coordination of electronic and paper discovery, patent file histories, depositions, transcripts, and trial support for large-scale productions and reviews.
• Prepare for and attend depositions and trial, including coordinating logistics, and preparing witness files and exhibits.
• Work with Litigation Support & E-Discovery Services and vendors on e-discovery and electronic productions.
• Draft motions and pleadings.
• Bluebook/cite check, proofread, and assemble exhibits related to filing.
• Electronically file briefs or coordinate filing with the Firm’s Managing Clerk.
• Coordinate service of process and courtesy copies.
• Train and mentor junior paralegals.
