A leading biopharmaceutical company in North Chicago is seeking a Senior Counsel - Intellectual Property Litigation. This role requires management of global patent litigation and related disputes, providing expert counsel to clients, and participation in various litigation proceedings. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position is hybrid, requiring an onsite presence at least three days a week.
Qualifications
5+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent or intellectual property litigation experience.
Ability to convey intellectual property issues in understandable terms.
Preference for candidates with significant scientific experience (molecular biology, biotechnology, etc.).
Responsibilities
Manage U.S. and international patent litigation matters.
Participate in key litigation proceedings like depositions and trials.
Provide expert counsel on IP litigation issues.
Advise senior management on key global IP litigation issues.
Negotiate and draft settlement agreements.
