Job summary

J T is seeking a midlevel to senior IP litigation associate to represent clients in patent disputes involving devices and electronics. You will handle matters in federal courts, the ITC, and before PTAB, collaborating with teams across offices.

The role requires a technical background with at least four years of patent litigation experience, strong writing and analytical skills, and eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Compensation reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately four or more years of patent litigation experience, with strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with district court patent litigation; PTAB or International Trade Commission (ITC) experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage substantial responsibilities on complex matters and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must currently be licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing patents and preparing invalidity and infringement contentions.
• Developing case strategy and working with technical experts.
• Drafting briefs and other substantive filings, managing discovery, and preparing witnesses.
• Taking and defending depositions and contributing to hearings and trial preparation.
• Working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues across offices.
