The role blends copyright strategy, enforcement actions, and cross‑functional collaboration with PlayStation Studios, security, and product teams.

The successful candidate will advise on DMCA procedures, stay ahead of piracy trends, and coordinate with external counsel and investigators.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of post‑qualified experience in IP enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. copyright law and the DMCA.
• Experience developing and executing IP enforcement strategies.
• Experience with digital piracy and game-related copyright matters.
• Ability to work with technical teams and translate data into enforcement actions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal counsel for SIE’s Game Protection Program in the Americas, developing strategies to combat piracy and address unauthorized game modifications.
• Collaborate with PlayStation Studios and production teams to manage content-protection risks.
• Advise on DMCA notice and takedown procedures, safe harbors, and counter-notices.
• Address online and offline piracy threats and enforce IP rights.
• Support IP enforcement for hardware and merchandise across the Americas.
• Partner with IP Litigation, Brands, and Patent teams on enforcement matters.
• Monitor copyright developments and advise on policy impacts.
• Create enforcement playbooks and train internal stakeholders.
• Represent SIE in industry groups when appropriate.
