Job summary

HARMAN Lifestyle seeks an experienced IP Counsel to provide strategic IP guidance, contract drafting, and negotiation for the Lifestyle division. You will support multi-million-dollar agreements, advise on IP portfolio strategy, and collaborate with internal teams and outside counsel.

The role requires a Juris Doctor, Bar admission, and five-plus years of IP experience, with the ability to travel up to 10% and work in a hybrid Dallas-area office.

Qualifications

• JD and Bar admission required.
• 5+ years of relevant IP experience, in-house or law firm.
• Hands-on transactional experience including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP licensing, acquisitions and divestitures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic IP counsel to the Lifestyle division and SBU teams.
• Negotiate and draft complex IP licenses, technology transfers, and related agreements.
• Advise on IP portfolio management, due diligence, and litigation support with external counsel.
• Collaborate across departments to align IP strategy with business goals.
