Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an IoT Cloud Developer for a 4-month remote contract. You will design, build, and support scalable, cloud-native AWS solutions, focusing on IoT data integration and serverless apps using TypeScript.

You’ll work with DynamoDB, Kinesis, SNS, S3, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, and Fargate, mentoring engineers while ensuring secure, scalable delivery. Strong on AWS, security, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or backend roles.
• Experience in AWS-centric environments.
• Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud-native AWS solutions with focus on scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to AWS IoT Core-based architectures and sensor data integration.
• Develop and maintain serverless apps on AWS Lambda using TypeScript.
• Design and optimize DynamoDB data models for high-throughput workloads.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kinesis, SNS, and S3.
• Support data ingestion, processing, and analytics with Glue, Athena, and QuickSight.
• Evaluate AWS Fargate for longer-running services, including Golang-based ones.
• Monitor performance and optimize reliability and cost.
