Fox Platform Group is seeking a Sr. Video Player Engineer, iOS to design and implement core video playback features for consumer-facing applications across Fox networks.

You will own playback solutions and provide deep technical expertise across the software delivery lifecycle. In this fast-paced environment, you will design for performance and scalability, collaborate with Engineering/Product/PM and Backend teams, and lead iOS/tvOS features with a strong emphasis on high-quality user

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent programming skills in Swift and Objective-C.
• Experience with Cocoa design patterns and Xcode tools.
• Experience building components to support video playback, UI, metadata, and third-party integrations.
• Experience leading a mobile application team at a tech company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture and implementation of player features on iOS/tvOS.
• Lead efforts in performance, scalability, security, architecture and engineering best practices.
• Track and prioritize numerous tasks for various team members.
• Provide technical specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver software using agile methodologies.
• Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest in emerging technologies/trends on mobile platforms.
