Job summary

FOX Direct to Consumer in New York, NY is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to provide technical leadership across iOS and tvOS, architect scalable mobile solutions, and influence the platform's long-term direction.

You will mentor senior and mid-level engineers, collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Editorial teams to deliver high-quality mobile features, and own performance, reliability, and adoption of SwiftUI and modern Apple frameworks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of iOS development experience with leadership roles.
• Expert-level Swift, including modern concurrency.
• Experience shipping large-scale consumer iOS/tvOS apps.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, coordinators, modular code.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement major features across iOS/tvOS apps.
• Set strategy for mobile platform, tooling, and build performance.
• Mentor senior engineers via code reviews and guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Editorial teams.
• Own performance, observability, and crash-free targets.
• Drive adoption of SwiftUI, Concurrency, WidgetKit, Live Actions, CarPlay.
• Build shared libraries, networking layers, dependency injection.
• Evaluate third-party SDKs for stability and privacy.
• Establish engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, releases.
• Develop internal tools and AI-powered automation.
• Contribute to incident response and platform reliability.
