Job summary

Aquent is seeking a UI/UX Engineer to craft consumer software experiences for iOS. You will operate at the intersection of design and engineering, taking concepts through production-ready implementation with polish, timing, and performance.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and QA to elevate software design to first-party quality. The ideal candidate ships with a strong portfolio, excels in animations and transitions, and can drive prototypes from idea to working

Qualifications

At least 6–10 years building production iOS interfaces, with strong SwiftUI and UIKit expertise.
Proficient with animation and gesture APIs across SwiftUI and UIKit, including transitions and interpolations.
Strong design sensibility to translate comps into polished UI and motion.
Fluent in prototyping to validate feel in code, Figma, or other tools.

Responsibilities

Design and implement UI and motion for new features, screens, and interactions across apps.
Partner with product designers to turn static concepts into interactive experiences.
Build and maintain shared component and motion libraries for consistency.
Prototype interaction ideas in code to validate feel before full engineering investment.
Own the last 10%—transitions, haptics, edge cases, and accessibility behavior.
Balance creative ambition with performance, guidelines, and device capabilities.
Collaborate with feature teams on architecture and integration, communicating scope and tradeoffs
