Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to drive media engagement and lead the architecture of user-facing video features.

You will design immersive viewing surfaces and intuitive UI/UX flows that maximize watch time and daily active video users. Collaborate with backend, feeds, and ML ranking teams to translate HLS streaming and personalized recommendations into seamless front-end iOS experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on iOS experience developing user-facing iOS apps at scale.
• Experience with design, performance signals, and retention data to measure success.
• Familiarity with HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) and integration with feed systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Technical Strategy for Media Engagement and lead the iOS architecture for user-facing video features.
• Collaborate with client media infra, backend, Feeds, and ML ranking teams to translate media capabilities into seamless front-end iOS features.
• Lead cross-functional execution with Product, Design, and Data Science to shape the product roadmap.
• Elevate iOS engineering standards and ensure app stability and performance on diverse devices and networks.
• Advocate for an experiment-driven culture with rapid prototyping and A/B testing.
