Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the iOS team within Passport & Commerce, building iOS experiences for millions of hosts and guests. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with backend, Android, and design partners to deliver reliable, scalable iOS solutions.

You will mentor engineers, establish iOS patterns for the team, and help drive performance, accessibility, and CI/CD practices for a large-scale consumer app.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Swift and modern iOS architecture including SwiftUI.
• Experience collaborating with backend, Android, and web engineers to shape APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build iOS features using modern, declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate concepts into polished iOS experiences.
• Work with backend, Android, and web engineers to ensure cross-platform consistency across features.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code/design reviews.
• Mentor other engineers and raise engineering practice standards as the team scales.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues affecting the iOS app.
