Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join the Passport & Commerce team, building iOS experiences for guest and host accounts. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with backend, Android, and design colleagues to ship reliable, polished experiences at scale.

You will design with modern UI principles, mentor others, and help establish iOS patterns as the team grows. A strong focus on performance, accessibility, and CI practices is essential to success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS architecture (SwiftUI, unidirectional state management).
• Experience partnering with backend and other platform engineers to shape APIs and ensure cross‑platform consistency.
• Track record of owning features end-to-end from design through launch and iteration.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build iOS features using modern, declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
• Partner with product and design to turn new concepts into polished, accessible iOS experiences.
• Collaborate with backend, Android, and web engineers to keep feature behavior and data consistent across platforms.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code/design reviews.
• Mentor other engineers on the team and raise the bar on iOS practices as the team scales.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues affecting the iOS app.
