Job summary

Hover is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to lead the migration of the Inspections product from React Native to native iOS. You’ll own the technical direction and partner with SDK and Mobile Core teams to deliver a polished, scalable experience used by contractors and insurers.

You’ll bring 5+ years of mobile engineering and 2+ years of native iOS experience, collaborating with Product and Design. This hybrid role circulates between our SF/NYC hubs with a US base salary range of $173k–$214k.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on native iOS in production.
• Experience building or maintaining a bridge layer between React Native and native code.
• Comfort with Xcode build, signing, and provisioning processes.
• Strong collaboration with Product and Design to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for moving Inspections from React Native to native iOS and eventually to an SDK.
• Diagnose and resolve reliability and consistency issues in the current inspections flow.
• Decompose multi-month initiatives into scoped workstreams for yourself and teammates.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to scope tradeoffs while keeping user experience front and center.
• Proactively communicate with a diverse customer base ahead of, during, and after rollouts.
