Job summary

Hover is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to lead the migration of Inspections from React Native to native iOS, and ultimately to an SDK, partnering with Product, Design, SDK, and Mobile Core teams. You will own the technical direction and shape the future of the Inspections experience.

The role requires 5+ years in mobile, with strong iOS experience, and a track record of turning ambiguous problems into scoped plans while communicating across a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, with 2+ years in native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit).
• Experience building a bridge layer between React Native and native code.
• Proficiency with Xcode and the build, signing, and provisioning process.
• Strong collaboration with Product and Design to solve problems.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into a scoped plan for self and team.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for moving the Inspections product from React Native to native iOS and toward an SDK.
• Diagnose and resolve reliability and consistency issues in the current inspections flow.
• Decompose multi-month initiatives into workstreams for yourself and teammates.
• Partner with Product and Design on scoping tradeoffs while keeping user experience in focus.
• Communicate proactively with a diverse customer base ahead of, during, and after rollouts.
