Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for an experienced iOS engineer to build mobile apps for Amex cardholders, and to lead a team of mobile engineers. You will collaborate with designers, product owners, QA, and backend teams to deliver features and ensure high quality.

In a fast-paced, small-team environment, you will rapidly iterate on ideas, fix issues, and optimize performance, while dealing with Objective‑C legacy code and contributing to CI/CD workflows in a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.
• American Express will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

Responsibilities

• Build mobile iOS applications used by tens of millions of Amex cardholders worldwide.
• Lead a team of mobile engineers.
• Develop and improve features with designers, product owners, QA, and engineers.
• Rapidly iterate on ideas in a fast-paced small-team environment.
• Find and fix bugs.
• Analyze and optimize performance.
