Job description

Senior iOS Engineer (Mobile Lead, Web3 Focus)

Location: Remote - NY or CA preference - will consider US remote

Compensation: $250K - $375K

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior iOS Engineer to take the mobile lead role in shaping the user experience for an innovative, new asset layer and decentralized platform. This is a unique opportunity to drive the architecture, development, and evolution of our native iOS applications, focusing on delivering a simple, elegant, and trustworthy mobile experience for complex on‑chain asset interactions.

You will act as both a hands‑on technical contributor and a mentor, shaping the mobile engineering culture alongside product, design, and Web3 teams, and you will be the mobile expert responsible for defining how users engage with our platform’s next‑generation asset layer. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional UI/UX for consumers, creators, and communities on iOS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Development: Lead the design and implementation of the flagship consumer‑facing iOS application, covering core flows like asset discovery, launch, trading, social interactions, wallet connectivity, onboarding, and notifications
  • UI/UX Partnership: Collaborate intimately with UI/UX designers to translate high‑fidelity designs into pixel‑perfect native iOS interfaces, including custom animations, refined transitions, adaptive layouts, accessibility, and internationalization
  • Technical Architecture: Architect and implement scalable, maintainable mobile solutions using best practices (e.g., MVVM/Clean Architecture, reactive programming, modularization, dependency injection)
  • Feature Definition: Partner with product and design teams to define mobile‑specific user journeys, retention drivers, onboarding conversion, and mobile‑first social features
  • Performance & Security: Ensure the application's performance, reliability, and security, including crash‑free operation, network resilience, secure key handling (where applicable), and efficient use of resources
  • Analytics & Iteration: Utilize analytics and telemetry to monitor user behavior (engagement, conversion) and define instrumentation to drive continuous UX and performance improvements
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide other mobile engineers through code reviews, establishing mobile best practices, continuous delivery pipelines, and robust testing strategies (unit, UI, integration)
  • Innovation: Stay current with iOS platform advancements and the intersection of Web3/blockchain and mobile technology, proposing cutting‑edge improvements to the architecture and user experience
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in native iOS application development, specifically shipping polished consumer‑facing apps to the App Store
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in Swift (and UIKit/SwiftUI) with proven experience designing robust architecture for large‑scale production applications
  • UI/UX Polish: A demonstrable portfolio of iOS apps showcasing strong UI/UX polish: fluid animations, refined transitions, customized UI components, and adaptive layouts
  • Design Acumen: Deep understanding of mobile UX design principles and Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG), with a keen eye for interaction quality and design detail
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, comfortable participating in product discovery, defining mobile flows, and iterating quickly with designers and product managers
  • Performance: Experience with performance optimization (startup time, memory/CPU, responsiveness), mobile analytics instrumentation, and crash/performance monitoring tools
  • Leadership: Solid experience mentoring peers, establishing mobile engineering practices, and leading comprehensive code reviews
  • Mindset: Passion for or willingness to dive deep into the Web3/blockchain frontier and mobile user experiences for token‑related interactions and social finance
  • Startup Experience: Must have prior experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment
  • Portfolio Requirement: Please include a link to a portfolio showcasing your work (Must)
Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: A highly competitive salary ranging from $250,000 to $375,000 USD, commensurate with experience and impact
  • Impactful Role: The opportunity to single‑handedly shape the mobile experience of a cutting‑edge Web3 platform that is redefining how creators, communities, and social engagement interact with digital assets
  • Design‑Driven Culture: Work within a design‑driven engineering culture where mobile UX is prioritized equally with protocol and backend development
  • High Visibility: Join a small, high‑impact mobile team where your architectural decisions and code contributions will be immediately visible and highly valued
  • Global Exposure: Gain exposure to global markets, evolving social/mobile behavior, community‑driven models, and bleeding‑edge Web3/mobile interactions
  • Innovation: An environment that champions rapid experimentation, mobile innovation, and direct feedback from real user behavior
