Cognizant is seeking an experienced iOS Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise mobile applications in the USA (Irving). The role requires strong iOS and hybrid development, leadership, and cross-team collaboration across UI/UX, backend, QA, and DevOps.

The candidate will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and oversee the full development lifecycle, including REST API integration and release readiness, with a focus on quality and security.

Role Summary

We are looking for an iOS Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise mobile applications in USA, Irving. The candidate should have strong iOS and hybrid mobile development expertise, technical leadership capability, and basic knowledge of Android application development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of iOS and hybrid mobile applications.
Provide technical direction and resolve complex application issues.
Design modular, scalable, maintainable, and reusable mobile components.
Lead REST API integration and collaboration with UI/UX, backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
Conduct technical design and code reviews to ensure quality, security, and coding standards.
Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
Lead technical discussions and participate in estimation, sprint planning, risk management, release, and production readiness.
Use logs, monitoring dashboards, and diagnostics to troubleshoot issues.

Required Technical Skills

Hybrid mobile application development using Ionic Framework, with iOS delivery experience.
Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and SASS/SCSS.
Mobile UI development, responsive design, reusable components, and REST API integration.
Working exposure to React.js, Next.js, Redux, jQuery, and AJAX.
Backend exposure to Node.js and PHP.
Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Cassandra.
Git, GitHub or GitLab; Jenkins; Jira; Confluence; and Figma.
Exposure to Kibana and Grafana for monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, MCP configuration, or similar AI-assisted development workflows.
Basic knowledge of Android application development, Android build and release concepts, and cross-platform compatibility considerations.

Preferred Competencies

Strong technical leadership, mentoring, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Sound understanding of mobile application structure, maintainability, performance, and reusable design.
Ability to review code and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
Effective stakeholder communication and ability to manage priorities in an Agile delivery environment.
