Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is advancing the mobile experience for our global courier network, focusing on courier offers and incentives. We are seeking proactive, detail-oriented engineers who will master our Swift codebase and contribute to modular, clean architecture across a fast-growing platform.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define features, own components, and ensure high-quality software aligned with team practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Swift and iOS development.
• Expertise in object-oriented, high-performance software with clean readability.
• Experience implementing MVVM, VIPER, or MVP patterns.
• Experience interfacing with server-side APIs in a Microservices ecosystem.
• Understanding of building decoupled, reusable components.
• Strong collaboration, code reviews and pair programming practices.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth technical environment.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams and Product Managers in workshops to define new features.
• Deliver high-quality software that follows team practices and expectations.
• Own components, manage timelines, and communicate progress to teams and stakeholders.
• Share progress and ideas to grow the iOS guild and promote new patterns and standards.

About this role

As a part of our collective, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the mobile experience for our global courier network, more specifically to our courier offer and incentives experience.

We are searching for proactive individuals who share our enthusiasm for gaining a deep, comprehensive mastery of our systems to architect premier solutions.

Technical Foundation: our codebase is 90% Swift, with a steadfast commitment to Modularization and Clean Architecture principles.

Location: Remote; Canada

Reporting to: Technology Manager

• Product Definition: Collaborate with engineering teams and Product Managers in workshops to contribute significantly to defining new product features.
• Technical Ownership: Consistently deliver high-quality software that meets team best practices and expectations.
• Project Management: Take complete ownership of components you develop, managing timelines and transparently communicating progress towards wider team and organizational goals.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Share your progress and ideas with your team, and contribute to the growth of the iOS guild by sharing new development practices, patterns, and standards.
• Inner Source Model Contributions: As a Trusted Contributor, you’ll play a vital role in contributing to other teams’ repos to integrate new features into their codebase.

• Engineering Excellence: Expertise in crafting object-oriented, high-performance software characterized by exceptional readability and maintainability.
• Language Mastery: Extensive professional experience with the Swift programming language.
• Architectural Proficiency: Proven track record implementing diverse design patterns, including MVVM, VIPER, or MVP.
• Backend Integration: Demonstrated capability in interfacing with server-side APIs within a complex Microservices ecosystem.
• Modular Design: A profound understanding of building software through decoupled, reusable components.
• Collaborative Mindset: Enthusiasm for pair programming, rigorous code reviews, and proactive knowledge exchange.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive within a high-growth, fast-paced, and evolving technical environment.
• Articulation: Great verbal and written communication skills in English.

Compensation range: $102,000.00 - $128,250.00

Final compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
