Job summary

RLI Insurance Company is seeking an Investment leader to direct the investment function for the property and casualty general account and surplus assets. You will develop strategy, oversee managers, and report to senior management and the Board, ensuring liquidity and risk controls while balancing capital needs and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, deep investment expertise, and collaboration with Treasury, Finance, and Actuarial teams to align portfolio positioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive investment management experience.
• Direct experience managing property and casualty insurance general account assets.
• CFA designation and/or MBA preferred.
• Equivalent level of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute investment strategy for general account assets.
• Oversee outside investment managers and related partners.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk; conduct scenario analyses.
• Prepare reporting and recommendations for senior management and the Board.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting, Actuarial, Enterprise Risk, and other stakeholders.
