Job summary

Aspida Financial Services, LLC is seeking an Investment Leader to manage its US direct annuity portfolio and offshore reinsurance assets. The role develops and implements investment policies, oversees performance, and partners with leadership and the board to safeguard long-term stability, while optimizing returns.

The position requires 8+ years in insurance asset management with credit investing, strong analytical skills, and expertise in Excel and Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in insurance asset management with a credit investing background.
• Experience with private asset origination and alternative asset strategies.
• Knowledge of capital rules (RBC, BSCR, rating agency).
• Understanding of insurance investment accounting processes/procedures including GAAP/STAT.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership and external managers to support active portfolio management.
• Monitor and analyze portfolios to understand positioning and optimize returns.
• Review investment decisions, performance, and fees with internal and external partners.
• Develop and refine cedent investment guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor liquidity across portfolios and manage risk exposure.
• Collaborate across company functions to provide investment data and insights.
• Support regulatory filings and management reporting.
