Job summary

Vanguard seeks a full-stack engineer with a strong UI focus to build the next generation of investor interfaces for VPI, supporting portfolio managers, operations teams, and investment workflows. The role spans front-end, middle and back-office needs with data-driven UIs.

The ideal candidate has experience in investment/wealth management UI, expert Java/Python backend skills, and strong cloud‑native AWS deployment, plus a passion for scalable, user‑centric design.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years related work experience with at least 5+ years in investment/wealth management apps.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field.
• Strong front-end development experience with modern frameworks (Angular or React).
• Experience building full-stack applications (Java/Python backend).
• Solid understanding of investment workflows and user personas.
• Understanding of API design and integration.
• Experience working with cloud-native systems (AWS preferred).
• Ability to contribute as an individual contributor while guiding design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build modern, responsive user interfaces for investment workflows.
• Develop end-to-end features spanning UI, APIs, and backend services.
• Create reusable UI components and design patterns.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into user-centric designs.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and usability across applications.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and UI platform evolution.
