Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native enterprise applications. You will work across product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions using Angular, Java, Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS.

You will implement microservices and event-driven architectures, with a strong focus on IaC, CI/CD, and robust observability. Hybrid work is supported, with a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in full-stack development.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native web apps using Angular, TypeScript, Java, Node.js.
• Build reusable UI components and MFE architectures.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs with Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Design microservices and event-driven solutions with Kafka and AWS.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud-native apps (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Secure auth with OAuth2/JWT; IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
• Monitor health with CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog; performance tuning.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture discussions.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience building cloud-native, enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Angular, Java, Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and highly available solutions. In this role, you will partner with product owners, architects, designers, and engineering teams to develop modern digital experiences, drive cloud modernization initiatives, and build resilient applications using microservices, event-driven architectures, and AWS cloud services.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, Java, and Node.js.
• Build reusable, scalable, and accessible UI components, including Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures using Module Federation.
• Develop and support RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Spring Boot and Node.js frameworks.
• Design and implement microservices and event-driven solutions using Kafka, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise identity providers.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
• Integrate applications with enterprise platforms, domain services, and third-party systems.
• Monitor application health, reliability, and performance using CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Datadog.
• Participate in production support, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, automation, security, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least one year of development experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
