The Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO) is seeking a Risk Manager, Investment Risk, to act as a senior leader within the ALM, Credit and Market Risk team. The role focuses on independent risk views for Private Equity/LP Funds, Private Credit, and Corporate Credit, and requires moving beyond summaries to connect risks across assets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in investment risk or related analytical roles.
• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in risk/data tools.
• Excellent communication skills with senior leaders.
• Solid understanding of fixed income, corporate credit, and alternatives.
• Quantitative degree; CFA/FRM preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own risk assessment across The Hartford’s Alternative Asset and Corporate Credit portfolios.
• Lead development of risk frameworks to identify drivers and downside risks.
• Enhance measurement, aggregation, and monitoring of portfolio exposures.
• Lead stress testing and scenario analyses for tail risk and concentrations.
• Drive market surveillance and thematic risk analysis for forward-looking insights.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve risk identification and early warnings.
• Provide independent risk perspectives to investment teams and senior leaders.
• Deliver scalable surveillance, reporting, and analytics across risk insights.
• Mentor a junior analyst and provide technical leadership.
