Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Risk Manager - Investment Risk in Hartford, CT. You will oversee risk across Alternative Asset and Corporate Credit portfolios, provide independent risk views, and drive stress testing and surveillance to detect vulnerabilities.

The role combines hands-on analytics with leadership of a junior analyst in a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. With 7+ years in investment or market risk, you will work closely with senior leaders, use Excel, Bloomberg, Aladdin and Tableau, and

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years of experience in investment risk or related analytics.
Proficiency with Excel, Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Tableau or similar tools.
Strong communication with senior leaders and ability to synthesize complex information.
Experience with AI-enabled tools and automation preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the assessment of risk across The Hartford’s Alternative Asset and Corporate Credit portfolios.
Lead the development and enhancement of risk assessment frameworks and stress testing.
Drive measurement, aggregation, and monitoring of portfolio exposures.
Lead market surveillance and thematic risk analysis for forward-looking insights.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor a junior analyst.
