Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in investment risk, market risk, credit risk, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Tableau.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, or automation.
• Excellent communication skills with senior leaders and key business partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the assessment of risk across The Hartford’s Alternative Asset and Corporate Credit portfolios, developing independent, forward-looking risk views and identifying key vulnerabilities, concentrations, and emerging risks.
• Lead the development and enhancement of risk assessment frameworks to identify key risk drivers, deteriorating trends, concentrations, and downside risks and translate findings into actionable conclusions.
• Drive enhancements to the measurement, aggregation, and monitoring of portfolio exposures, with a focus on identifying risks and portfolio implications that may not be apparent through individual sector analysis.
• Lead the development of stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate tail risk, collateral sensitivity, asset performance, concentrations, and correlated risks across the portfolio.
• Lead market surveillance and thematic risk analysis, translating market, sector, and portfolio developments into forward-looking risk insights.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, and automation to enhance risk identification, surveillance, analytical capabilities, and early-warning indicators.
